Hey Java Developer!

Are you a backend engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and happens to love poker? Then this might be your next move.

At Relax Gaming, you’ll work on our industry-leading poker product, building scalable, high-performance backend systems together with a team of experienced developers and poker enthusiasts.

We’re known for pushing boundaries in the online poker space: constantly evolving the product with new features, formats, and improvements. With a strong roadmap ahead, we’re looking for someone who wants to help us take it even further.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and maintaining robust backend systems using Java

• Contributing to the design and implementation of new features and improvements

• Collaborating closely with frontend developers and business stakeholders

• Continuously improving performance, scalability, and code quality

• Troubleshooting and solving complex technical challenges

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java

• Experience working with message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar)

• Solid understanding of software development best practices

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Good communication skills in English

Nice to have

• Experience with Python

• Experience within iGaming or a similar domain

• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or MariaDB

• Experience with concurrent and asynchronous programming

• A genuine interest in poker or gaming
